I know my Capes of Good Hope
and those that made my ship crash,
luring me with Siren Songs.
I know the deserts that I've walked
for what seems like ages,
the vampires that drained me while some
dark yearning
drove me further towards
their clawing arms and leering grimaces.
And I know that she is pure light
even in her shadows,
because her smiles are honest and
her arms are warm.
And the sign to this haven says
in simple letters:
This Is Paradise
