move on

I need to have another post at the top... I can't just let that post about my pet dying sit there and stare at me every time I open my blog. So here goes:

I'm better today. I haven't cried since last night. I'm accepting. In fact I have suspected for the past weeks that this might happen quite soon. not that that helped me be prepared, it still came as a shock. but she's still here, she's not dead yet, and I'm not going to treat her like she is already. there will be enough time to do that when she's gone. I'm just feeling sad. it's like a constant tiny sting at the pit of my stomach. so I am in fact doing stuff to distract myself. I've been reading for my thesis today. I need to have a concept by end of september but I'm nowhere yet.

and here's two pictures of our girl. she looks so much thinner and worse now, but this is how I will always see her:

So cute!

One of our cats got really sick and we thought he was going to die. He got really thin (which was amazing, considering how fat he's always been), but he didn't die. He's still thin, but he's alive and seems pretty happy. So for the time being, we're just trying to make his life as enjoyable as possible.

at the moment this seems to be the exact same situation. I talked to my dad today who said he couldn't believe it's true because she's happy and walking and eating and everything. it's just her fast breathing that shows that something is not right. and for the time being we're doing just the same as you guys are doing: making her life as enjoyable as possible. thank you, thomas.

She is adorable!

I had to put my dog down last year, and it was honestly one of the hardest things I've ever done. No shame in being sad or crying, because I bawled. But I agree ... just show her the love you feel while she's still here.

My heart goes out to you and your family!

Awww, what a sweet girl she is. Big hugs to you - I know how tough this is going to be.
